'Trial periods' when purchasing your hearing aids privately

If you have bought your hearing aids from a private hearing aid dispenser you may be offered a trial period during which you can get a refund if you are unhappy with them. If you do have any initial problems with the hearing aids, it is therefore vital that you go back well within the trial period.  This gives the dispenser the opportunity to make any necessary adjustments – and you time to try these out in your natural surroundings.  If you are still not happy with your purchase, then you should still have time to return the hearing aids before the end of the trial period.

Be aware that Private companies can be strict about the trial period conditions – so, if you do intend to ask for a refund, ensure you do so by the allocated date.
