Your Audiologist or hearing aid dispenser should offer you a follow up appointment to see how you have been getting on with your hearing aids and to check you are using them correctly. This could be anything between 2- 6 weeks after the initial fitting. They will also be able to make any ‘fine-tuning’ adjustments necessary to help you get the most from the aids.
You will also be able to get your hearing aids adjusted or repaired, should you have any problems with them at a later time. Some NHS Hospitals have ‘drop in’ repair clinics but at others, you will have to book an appointment in advance. Some private dispensers may charge for their repair service. You may find our Hearing Aid Troubleshooting Guide useful for minor issues which do not require specialist knowledge or repair work.
